Poland Takes Helm of EU Council From 1 Jan 2025 - Focuses on Security and Unity

Poland has assumed the presidency of the Council of the European Union for the first half of 2025, marking its second time in this role since joining the EU in 2004. Under the slogan "Security, Europe!", the Polish presidency aims to strengthen European security across multiple dimensions, including external, internal, economic, and energy sectors.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk, a seasoned EU politician, emphasized Poland's commitment to European values and the need for a strong, united Europe in the face of global challenges.
