New step about Improves Safety in Luxembourg

Luxembourg has taken another step toward improving road safety and mobility with the inauguration of a new roundabout in Reichlange. The project, led by Mobility Minister Yuriko Backes, focuses on making a previously risky intersection safer for drivers and more efficient for traffic flow.

The location connects several national roads and had been identified as a high-risk zone due to its complex traffic patterns. The new design replaces the old intersection with a modern roundabout, helping reduce accidents and improve circulation in the region. 

In addition to road improvements, the project also includes upgraded pedestrian and cycling infrastructure. A new bridge and dedicated pathways make it easier and safer for cyclists and pedestrians to travel across the area. 

The construction, which began in 2024, was carefully planned to allow traffic to continue during the works. The project also introduced better lighting, drainage systems, and public transport accessibility features. 

Overall, the development highlights Luxembourg’s commitment to safer roads and sustainable mobility solutions.
