Luxembourg Signs New Consumer Protection Agreement
LuxembourgPosted a day ago by Team · 1 min readLuxembourg has signed a new cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening consumer protection and support services in the country. The agreement was signed by Consumer Protection Minister Martine Hansen together with the Union luxembourgeoise des consommateurs (ULC), a key organization that helps residents with consumer issues.
Through this agreement, the government will continue supporting the work of the ULC, which provides advice, information, and assistance to consumers facing problems with purchases, contracts, or services. The organization also works to raise awareness about consumer rights and responsible consumption.
Every year, thousands of consumers in Luxembourg seek guidance from the ULC on issues such as product quality, service complaints, online purchases, and contractual disputes. The organization helps people understand their rights and find solutions when problems arise.
The renewed partnership allows the ULC to continue offering guidance, mediation services, and public information campaigns that help residents make informed decisions in the marketplace.
Authorities say the agreement reflects Luxembourg’s ongoing commitment to protecting consumers and ensuring transparency and fairness in the country’s economy.
