Luxembourg Launches €3 Million Solar Tender for Businesses

LuxembourgPosted on 19 February 2026 by Team · 1 min read

The Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy has launched a new €3 million tender to support commercial and industrial solar energy projects, with a focus on systems producing between 30 kW and 200 kW of power.

Opened on 16 February 2026, the initiative offers investment aid through a competitive bidding process, and companies can submit their applications until 17 April 2026. The scheme aims to strengthen Luxembourg’s solar power framework and boost renewable energy adoption by businesses.

Projects located on business rooftops, facades or parking structures are eligible, and those that include battery storage will receive enhanced support to help encourage self-consumption and greater energy flexibility.

The tender is divided into three main lots — standard, innovative, and carport solar systems — each with subcategories depending on whether storage is included, offering a range of options for commercial developers.

To help companies prepare strong proposals, the government is hosting free informational webinars in late February and early March, where applicants can learn more about the requirements and incentives.
