Luxembourg Boosts Support for Road Safety Efforts
LuxembourgPosted 9 hours ago by Team · 1 min readThe Luxembourg government has announced stronger financial support for road safety initiatives to improve protection for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians. The Ministry of Mobility and Public Works confirmed an increased subsidy for the road safety organization Sécurité routière, which plays a major role in prevention campaigns and awareness programs.
The funding agreement was presented by Mobility Minister Yuriko Backes, who emphasized the government’s commitment to making roads safer for everyone. The cooperation between the ministry and the road safety association will continue under this renewed agreement.
Officials say the additional funding will help expand educational campaigns, research, and initiatives aimed at reducing accidents. These actions are aligned with international road safety strategies, including the “Vision Zero” approach, which aims to eliminate traffic deaths and serious injuries.
The partnership between the government and road safety organizations is considered an important step toward improving traffic awareness and prevention in Luxembourg. Authorities hope that stronger collaboration will lead to safer roads and better protection for all road users.
