China Post Launches First Direct Air Cargo Link from Guangzhou to Luxembourg

LuxembourgPosted on 29 July 2025 by Team

China Post inaugurated its independent intercontinental cargo route connecting Guangzhou Baiyun Airport with Luxembourg Findel Airport on July 25, 2025, marking a significant expansion in its global logistics network. The inaugural flight, CF277, a Boeing 777 freighter, departed Guangzhou and arrived in Luxembourg on the same day, establishing the first direct air cargo link between these two important hubs.

This new route primarily serves the burgeoning demand for efficient international logistics from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, a region known for its strength in manufacturing and cross border e-commerce. The cargo carried includes a diverse mix of goods such as industrial products, e-commerce shipments, and postal mail, aiming to facilitate faster and more reliable deliveries to European markets.

By adding this route, China Post enhances its connectivity to Europe, complementing its existing independent intercontinental cargo services from Nanjing to Luxembourg and Zhengzhou to Luxembourg. These routes collectively strengthen China Post's strategic air freight network across key economic regions in China and Europe.

The Guangzhou-Luxembourg cargo service supports the region’s exporters by reducing transit times and optimizing supply chains, particularly for sectors reliant on timely international shipping. The use of the B777F aircraft allows for high payload capacity and operational efficiency, enabling China Post to meet growing logistics requirements of the manufacturing and e-commerce industries in southern China.

This launch reflects China Post’s commitment to expanding its global footprint, responding to shifting market dynamics, and supporting international trade growth. With the new Guangzhou-Luxembourg route, businesses benefit from improved access to European consumers and enhanced integration within global supply chains, solidifying Luxembourg’s role as a vital gateway to Europe.

As global trade continues to evolve, the establishment of this direct cargo corridor is poised to play a crucial role in facilitating cross-border commerce, streamlining delivery processes, and supporting economic ties between China’s Greater Bay Area and European market
