Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie Emabark First Official Visit to Belgium

Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie will make their first official trip abroad since their enthronement on October 3. The royal couple is set to visit Belgium on Friday, where they will be welcomed by King Philippe and Queen Mathilde.

According to the Belgian royal palace, the visit will serve as a courtesy meeting to highlight the “excellent relations” between Luxembourg and Belgium — two neighboring nations with long-standing historical and cultural ties.

As part of the program, a ceremonial review of the troops will take place at the Place des Palais in Brussels, followed by a formal lunch hosted by the Belgian royal couple.

This marks the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess’s first state engagement outside Luxembourg since assuming their new roles, signaling the beginning of a renewed chapter in Luxembourg’s diplomatic and royal representation abroad.|
