"Eduact" Boosts Citizenship Education in Schools

Luxembourg has introduced a new digital platform aimed at strengthening citizenship education and connecting schools with external learning opportunities. The initiative helps teachers easily find and book educational activities offered by various organisations, all in one place, making it simpler to bring real-world topics into classrooms. 

The platform focuses on key themes such as democracy, human rights, sustainability, and digital awareness. By combining these topics, it supports students in developing essential life skills and understanding their role as responsible citizens in today’s society. 

Officials highlighted that many educational resources were previously scattered across different websites. This new system centralises them, ensuring quality and alignment with national education programs while improving accessibility for schools and educators. 

The initiative also encourages stronger collaboration between schools and civil society organisations, allowing students to engage with real-life issues beyond textbooks. It reflects Luxembourg’s broader commitment to modern, inclusive, and forward-thinking education.
