Stricter Covid measures announced starting 26 December

The Prime Minister of Luxembourg announced stricter measures for further reducing the current cases. Updated measures applicable starting 26 December 2020.

1. Curfew 9pm to 6am (previously starting only at 11pm)

2. Non-essential shops will be closed (food, medicine are essential)

3. No consumption of alcohol outdoors.

4. Sport facilities will be closed. Individual sports allowed.

5. Schools will follow distance learning from 4 January.

6. Fines applicable for violation EUR 145-EUR 300
