In the past, expats could only participate in local elections if they had lived in Luxembourg for more than 5 years. However, an important change has been made - now anyone registered with the commune can vote, even if they have just arrived.

Expats make up more than 47% of residents in Luxembourg, but only 12% in Luxembourg city and around 18% outside the city. These numbers are very low. By registering and casting your vote for the issues expats care about, expats can truly make a difference.

There are many issues that expats face, including housing prices, tax topics, job opportunities, visa topics, and more. It is crucial that expats participate in local elections to make their voices heard on these important matters.

Don't miss this opportunity to have your say - register now at www.icanvote.lu.
