Kids Life Skills - January workshops for ages 7-10

January workshops registrations are now open! 

Get ready for a super fun month filled with lots of cool activities to help kids create discover and learn! Kids will be able to do engaging hands-on activities that will help them develop their logical thinking coding and problem-solving skills!

The workshops for kids of ages 7-10 are starting soon from January 8th 2023 every Sunday.

The workshops open for registrations for January are: 

  • Intro workshops

Introduction to computer coding and logical thinking!

In this workshop kids will learn basic logical concepts of coding such as sequence loop bug and more. The kids will explore real robots and create their own project on Scratch so they can experience what they learn and build a solid base for underlying concepts of coding. A laptop is required (mouse might be also useful).

  • Intro to Minecraft

We'll introduce kids to Minecraft's world! We will teach them how to control its character and use its materials in an engaging and fun session. Intro to Minecraft prepares students for the future developing skills like creativity problem solving and systems thinking and nurturing a passion for play. They will develop empathy and learn digital citizenship. Please bring your own laptop.

  • Minecraft & sustainable city

Basic knowledge of in Minecraft is needed! (You can join the stand-alone session of Introduction to Minecraft) This Minecraft & sustainable city workshop will be 8 sessions! During these 8 sessions the kids would learn what resources are and how it relates to sustainability. They will discover Minecraft education’s sustainable city and take all of this knowledge and use it to build their own sustainable city in their own Minecraft world. A laptop is required (mouse might be also useful). The kids need to know basic reading/writing - it could be in other language than English.

  • aMAZEing - Scratch maze Ages

In aMAZEing workshop the kids will create and solve different mazes on- and off-screen and will create their own interactive maze in Scratch. In the last session the kids will present their projects to the rest of the group and the parents. (This workshop is open to students who have completed the Intro workshop)

These workshops will be held in 4-8 sessions of 3 hours each.
