Dudelange's reputation as the "jazz capital of Luxembourg" is established and  undeniable.

In 2012, with the Like A Jazz Machine festival, CCRD opderschmelz set in motion an impressive  generator of energy, vision, and jazz atmosphere.

For its 11th edition, CCRD opderschmelz and the city of Dudelange have once again created a stimulating platform for artists, audiences and professionals.

Like A Jazz Machine 2023 invites you to another exciting journey through the
world of jazz, with a focus on new creations, emerging talents, and adventurous
crossovers. 18 bands and more than 70 musicians from all over the world will be
presenting their current projects over 5 consecutive days. From traditional jazz to
new trends, the festival celebrates jazz in all its forms.

The machine of this 11th edition will start on 10 May in the Saint Martin's Church
with ECM musicians Ben van Gelder on saxophone and Kit Downes on Stahlhuth organ. In addition to the church and the grand auditorium of the CCRD
opderschmelz, concerts and an after-party will take place on 13 May in the
"Kantin op Neischmelz". Renowned and lesser known but all outstanding jazz
musicians will share the stages.

International stars such as Stanley Clarke, Daniel Humair, Niels Lan Doky,
Stéphane Belmondo and Bill Evans will be performing, as well as Julie
Campiche, Tineke Postma, Jasper Høiby, Samuel Blaser, Aka Moon, Manuel Hermia, Veda Bartringer 4tet, Greg Lamy and Maxime Bender with his Infinity
of Sound 4tet, all presenting their current projects.

As in the past, the festival focuses on national and international artist
residencies. We are looking forward to the creations of Shauli Einav 4tet,
Mathieu Clement Collective, Michel Reis trio feat. United Instruments of
Lucilin, Tele-Port and Sylvain Rifflet.
